Spear of Bitter Mercy in Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is an Artifact that can be wielded by players in ???.  This Artifact will be added to the game with the Update 4.3.0.

"One of the more mysterious artifacts is the Spear of Bitter Mercy. Little to nothing is known about the Spear. There are no recorded histories but many believe it to be of Daedric origin. The only known legend about it is its use by a mighty hero during the fall of the Battlespire. The hero was aided by the Spear in the defeat of Mehrunes Dagon and the recapturing of the Battlespire. Since that time, the Spear of Bitter Mercy has made few appearances within Tamriel."

Spear of Bitter Mercy Lore

"The Spear of Bitter Mercy is a mysterious artifact - there is only little to nothing that is known about the spear, but it is believed to be of Daedric origin. As per the Reachmen myth, the Daedric Prince Hircine had wielded the spear when he dediced to take on the aspect as Alrabeg the Hunter. Other legends speak of a Nord hunter named Thane Icehammer, who was known to have killed several were-creatures while on a hunt.

The two somehow managed to confront each other, and Hircine who is fueled by anger thrust the spear into Icehammer's side, where the tip of the artifact broke off and remained inside of him. Eventually, the magic of Hircine's spear slowly corrupted Icehammer's mind and he was engulfed with bitterness and anger - this leads him to murder an acolyte of Kyne, and ended with a punishment where he was sealed to an ancient burial vault near Cragwallow.

Throughout the years, the spear resurfaced and according to some legends, it was used by a hero during the fall of the Battlespire. Legends mentioned that the hero successfully defeated Merhunes Dagon and recaptured Battlespire with the aid of the spear."
