Cutting Defense is a star within the Constellation Warfare in Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). Each constellation has 4 slots for certain passive skills, and you can swap passives any time out of combat.

This was added with Flames of Ambition DLC in March 2021.
Effects
You deal 200 Magic Damage to attackers whenever they damage you with a Direct Damage attack within 7 meters. This effect scales off the higher of your Physical or Spell Resistance and can activate your Weapon Enchantments and Poisons. (Add to champion bar to activate. 50 pts)
