Unusually Long Loading Screen is a recurrent issue in Elder Scrolls Online, where players get stuck looking at a loading screen when changing zones, reviving or teleporting.
How Does a Long Loading Screen Happen?
- If you die and respawn in PvP
- If you teleport to another keep or outpost in PvP
- If a keep you are near changes ownership in PvP
- If you travel to a player, into a Dungeon, or enter a new Zone in PvE
- If you trigger a loading screen into an instanced area.
How to fix a Long Loading Screen
When you are stuck on the loading screen, your character is actually present on the zone you teleported to. Other players can see you and interact with you, but your screen is blocked off from seeing your character.
- 2017: The issue introduced with the Clockwork City DLC is unique and cannot be fixed by players. If you get stuck, you have to restart your app.
- Zenimax is aware of the Clockwork City DLC issue and has identified the loading assets that are causing the issue
- Zenimax is working on a solution - PvE seems to be less impacted in PS4, PC and XboxOne. PvP is suffering from extreme crashing, so porting anywhere is a risk. Use Rapid Maneuver instead!
- The previous issue (usually prevalent in PvP), could sometimes be fixed by having other players initiate a trade, share quests or other interactions with you, or pressing "options" or inventory equivalent.
This is a very frustrating issue, but ranting at Zenimax on twitter won't get it solved faster. Instead, visit the Feedback forums and detail how you got stuck, so that the development team can work out a solution.

BUll I cant even enter clockwork city!, the loading screen just stays till it kicks me out for inactivity!, im on Playstation four too, i havent been able to use any character inside the clockwork city for over 5 days now!

it was fixed instead of infinite its just only 5 minutes each time now so if ur in pvp you will be dead and have to load into another screen hopefully that chosen spawn location doesn't have enemies to

Having the same issue with clockwork city update with vvardenfell choose my main character loadin screen comes then bam screen freezes and nothing need ya need to do maintenance immediately I can't even play my character it's happening on ps4 rested it 20 times turned it off 5 times including plug and still nothing same thing all my other low level characters work except for my main please fix

this game is over.. save your questions... zenimax is only interested in money.. they want to do nothing but make DLC and Mounts for you to buy.. they are not interested in fixing game play issues.. its been about 3 weeks of no PVP due to this load screens.. its not important to them... when they find out how many people left the game it will be a different story...they should spend more time fixing our complaints rather then trying to find new things for people to buy...

Never had an infinite loading screen before CWC, even the beginning part i didnt experience it, but the past few days its become very prevalant with fast travel/wayshrines anywhere. Is the bug in the code that allows instancing to clockwork and that bug messes up the other transportation codes in the rest of the game? Just throwin out a guess, good luck fixing it zeni! Thank you

My game doesn't load after I try to teleport no matter the population of the area. Even respawns freeze it.

Elden root guild halls seem to be the worst of it for me. I’m restarting my game four times just to turn in the daily quests for both mages & fighters guild.

Issue is not "mostly fixed in PvE". I still have this happen several times during a gaming session. Usually happens in a very popular, crowded zone. So I am convinced it is a server issue. Maybe time to put some of that money from microtransactions into your megasevers, Zeni?

It certainly is frustrating, but we are hopeful that it will be fixed as soon as possible. Only input I can put in is that I wait to see a minute or so each time I load screen and I've only had 2 work since the clockwork DLC in PvP. Thanks for the effort!
I sometimes get 1 to 4 jumps before it starts to slow, does not matter if I use a way shrine or a door. When this occurs logout does not work properly either. Is there a fix for this or am I screwed!!!!???. I am not happy..........
