Survey Maps or Survey Reports in Elder Scroll Online (ESO). Survey Maps are items that can be given as a reward from Crafting Writs, and are similar to Treasure Maps. When you receive one, a collection of high-yield nodes are added to a specific location, identified by the symbol on the map. Jewelry Surveys use a text description instead of a map. These high-yield nodes do not exist unless you have the corresponding survey. It is possible to be rewarded with the same report multiple times, and if this occurs, the nodes will respawn, but possibly with a different configuration of materials.
When you have multiple maps for the same node, travel to the area and collect your materials, then ride away a short distance until you don't see the area anymore. Come back and the materials will have respawned if you went far enough.
- Some areas do not have any survey maps
- See Writs for details on how to get more maps

If you are in a zone and have multiple surveys for the same material, you can collect them and then log off & back on to get the nodes to respawn immediately. Otherwise, it takes about 15 minutes of waiting around for them to respawn. Porting to the closest wayshrine and running back to the survey site will also cause them to respawn.

Curious... if you have multiple copies of a map, how long do you have to wait between using them for the items to respawn?
