Wrathstone DLC is a game pack for The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). The Wrathstone DLC launched on February 25th 2019 for PC and March 12th 2019 for Consoles. Wrathstone introduces two new Group Dungeons: Frostvault and Depths of Malatar.

 

What is the Wrathstone DLC ?

The new DLC pack features a new set (Wrathstone Sets) and two new Dungeons for players to take on:

  • Frostvault
    • "Sealed away deep within the mountains of Eastmarch, players must seek out one half of the Wrathstone Tablet that has been hidden away by the Dwemer. Players will face Goblins, Dwemer and all manner of traps in order to get there."
  • Depths of Malatar
    • "Sealed away deep within the sunken city of Garlas Malatr, players must seek out the other half of the Wrathstone Tablet, that is fiercely protected by followers of Meridia. These followers have devoted there lives and very essence to making sure that the Tablet is never again returned to the surface."

Wrathstone DLC Base Game Patch Features & Content

As often is the case, the DLC releases in conjunction with a base game patch called "Update 21" which is a major and free update to the overall game. Wrathstone introduces two new 4-player dungeons – Frostvault and Depths of Malatar – in addition to a number of new item sets and collectibles. The Wrathstone Update includes:

  • New Dungeons

    • FrostVault
      • Frostvault’s entrance is in western Eastmarch, north of Cradlecrush.
    • Depths of Malatar
      • Depths of Malatar’s entrance is located on the island of Garlas Malatar in the Gold Coast.
    • Both Dungeons include a Normal version in addition to a challenging Veteran version.
    • Unique Achievement awards are available for completing the dungeons, including:
      • A unique player skin
      • A unique non-combat pet
      • Several titles
      • Unique housing items
  • New Item Sets

  • New Collectibles

    • Ayledid Royal Crown
    • Icebound Dwarven Spider Pet
    • Meridian Purified Skin
    • Ebon Sapphire Dye
  • New Furnishings

    • The collectible, Trophy of King Narilmor, can be earned by completing Depths of Malatar on any difficulty.
    • The collectible, Bust of King Narilmor, can be earned by completing Depths of Malatar on Veteran difficulty.
    • The collectible, Trophy of The Stonekeeper, can be earned by completing Frostvault on any difficulty.
    • The collectible, Bust of The Stonekeeper, can be earned by completing Frostvault on Veteran difficulty.
    • In Frostvault, you'll rarely obtain the furnishing item "Palisade, Crude" or one of two different Boar Totems.
    • In Depths of Malatar, you'll rarely obtain the furnishing item of "Garlas Alpinia, Tall", a small Malatar Stone, or even more rarely, a large Malatar Stone.
    • The Achievement Goods merchant also has new wares, for those brave enough to explore the dungeons of Wrathstone.
      • For 100,000g, you can obtain a Replica Cursed Orb of Meridia if you have completed the "Depths of Malatar Vanquisher" achievement.
      • For 100,000g, you can obtain a Replica Cursed Orb of Meridia if you have completed the "Depths of Malatar Vanquisher" achievement.
