Poisons are crafted consumables from Alchemy in Elder Scrolls Online. They were introduced with the Dark Brotherhood.
How do Poisons Work?
- You must apply the poison to your weapon, consuming the item. Any light attack, heavy attack, or weapon ability has a 20% chance to apply poison effectss
- When a poison is equipped, the weapon enchant and charge will be suppressed and replaced by the poison description and count.
- Most poisons have a maximum duration of 6-10 seconds.
- Poison effects dillute if many effects are added.
How to create Poisons
- Poison reagents are gathered by killing enemies
- Poisons are created by combining reagents with oil-based Solvents. Each combination yields batches of 16.
- Higher level Solvents create stronger and longer-lasting poisons.

I’m playing with having one poison loaded at a time. First attack administers the poison, then the enchantment is functional. Pain in the ass to keep separating poisons and enabling them. It seems useful.
Wich poison kills yourself?
Any sets affect the fire rate or length of time the poison is applied?
So, my understanding is that in most cases, unless you are NOT worried about the enchantments on your weapons, poisons are largely useless in PVE
Somthing happened with the last patch? The poisons are much less strong as they were previously.
Ravage Magik and Stam is ridiculous... and you should only be able to apply one at a time...
Incomplete list of poison and what you need (use any two?):
Ravage Health Flashly Larva, Nightshade
Gradual Health Drain Nightshade, Stinkhorn, Violet Coprinus, Nirnroot
Drain Health Blue Entomola, Columbine, Luminous Russola, Mountain Flower, Water Hyacinth
Damage Magicka Blue Enmtomola, Violet Coprinus, Cornflower, Blugloss, Lady’s smock
Damage Stamina Flshly Larva, Imp Stool, Luminous Russola, Emetic Russola
Breaching Beetle scuttle, Lady’s Smock, Violet Coprinus
Conspicuous Spider Egg, Nirnroot, Blue Entoloma, Namira’s Rot
Cowardice Blue Entomola, Bugloss
Defile Spider Egg, Nightshade
Protection-Reversing Beetle Scuttle, Nightstool
Resolve-Draining Imp Stool, Beetle Scuttle, Mountain Flower
Stealth-Draining Cornflower, White Cap
Vitality Draining Beetle Scuttle, Fleshly Larva, Butterfly Wing
Is that helpful?
I am still not sure why I would want to squelch the abilities of weapons. Maybe if I ever get leveled up far enough this will matter?
DAMAGE HEALTH POISON IX,
Ravage Health, Ravage Magicka, Speed
Tell me the reagents, the calculator does not help
this means squat - we know these effects. Everyone is asking the same thing, what do I use x to get x? The ultimate list would be to show what your need, and WHAT you get as a result!
Do poisons on a restoration staff effect healing skills on allies?
