A Provisioner in Elder Scrolls Online collects recipes and ingredients found throughout the world to make a wide array of food and drink, by utilizing one of the many usable cooking fires.
Recipes, needed to learn how to make new types of food, can be found in chests, trunks and desks, as well as from other adventurers and sometimes even from fallen enemies. When a Provisioner finds a new recipe they can learn it by right-clicking on it in their inventory and selecting "Use" to commit it to their recipe book.
While ingredients can be obtained a number of ways, including purchasing them, searching populated areas as well as various containers, killing animals, fishing, receiving hireling deliveries and fulfilling Crafting Writs.
Once a provisioner has collected all the necessary ingredients in a learned recipe, they can use a provisioning station to create that item.
Provisioning Tips
- The Connoisseur skill adds 5/10/20 minutes to the duration of any drink consumed. This affects Psijic Ambrosia (xp boost elixir).
- The Gourmand skill adds 5/10/20 minutes to the duration of any food consumed.
- Some rare recipes will improve multiple player stats for a longer duration.

- Fruit = Max Magicka
Drinks will improve Regeneration
- Alcohol = Health Regeneration
- Tonic = Stamina Regeneration
- Tea = Magicka Regeneration

Since there is no deconstruction in provisioning, what is the most efficient method to improve your skill level in this line? Simply making a lot of food/drink?
somehow i get 1,7k base health in 30 mins from this recipe. but while i do that, my friend gets little over 7k base health from the SAME PIECE of food. can someone tell me why that is?
