Poisons
Poisons are crafted consumables from Alchemy in Elder Scrolls Online. They were introduced with the Dark Brotherhood.
How do Poisons Work?
- You must apply the poison to your weapon, consuming the item. Any light attack, heavy attack, or weapon ability has a 20% chance to apply poison effectss
- When a poison is equipped, the weapon enchant and charge will be suppressed and replaced by the poison description and count.
- Most poisons have a maximum duration of 6-10 seconds.
- Poison effects dillute if many effects are added.
How to create Poisons
- Poison reagents are gathered by killing enemies
- Poisons are created by combining reagents with oil-based Solvents. Each combination yields batches of 16.
- Higher level Solvents create stronger and longer-lasting poisons.

So, my understanding is that in most cases, unless you are NOT worried about the enchantments on your weapons, poisons are largely useless in PVE

Somthing happened with the last patch? The poisons are much less strong as they were previously.

this means squat - we know these effects. Everyone is asking the same thing, what do I use x to get x? The ultimate list would be to show what your need, and WHAT you get as a result!

Do poisons on a restoration staff effect healing skills on allies?

I’m playing with having one poison loaded at a time. First attack administers the poison, then the enchantment is functional. Pain in the ass to keep separating poisons and enabling them. It seems useful.
