Arcanist ESO Class

Arcanist is a Class in the Elder Scrolls Online. Arcanists draw power from Hermaeus Mora’s plane of Oblivion, Apocrypha. This class is only available as part of the Necrom Chapter DLC that releases on June 5th, 2023. Arcanists can harness powerful runes, tomes of ancient knowledge, and the energy of Apocrypha itself offensively with the Herlad of the Tome skill line, defensively with the Apocryphal Soldier line, and to support allies with the Curative Runeforms line.

CRUX – Arcanist Class Unique Combat Mechanic

ESO introduces the “Crux” mechanic which is exclusive to the Arcanist Class. When you use certain Arcanist abilities you generate Crux. Crux can be saved up in combat and you can spend Crux when activating specific abilities. You can save up to a maximum of three Crux. When you activate an ability that is impacted by Crux it will become more powerful and more effective. Therefore it is important to really think your rotation through, to maximize the impact of Crux on the Arcanist abilities in The Elder Scrolls Online.

Arcanist Skill Lines

• Apocryphal Solider – Defensive abilities to help buff your party and summon an explosive damage shield called Runespite Ward which can be strengthened using Crux
• Herald of Tome – Damage dealing abilities such as Runeblades landing damaging dealing projectiles with arcane energy.
• Curative Runeforms – Support/Heal abilities to restore your party and use the Apocryphal Gate to port them.
