A Friend in Need is a player housing quest in Elder Scrolls Online Introduced during the Player Housing Update

A Friend in Need Objectives

  1. Talk to Szugogroth
  2. Check Szugogroth's Bag
  3. Find and Talk to Bulag Idolus in (Rivenspire or Shadowfen or Greenshade)
  4. Talk to Canthion
  5. Craft or Purchase Furniture for Your Home: 0/1
  6. Talk to Canthion

A Friend in Need Walkthrough

  • Canthion the Housing Broker can be found within the banks of Daggerfall City, Davon's Watch, or Vulkhel Guard, depending on your alliance. Talk to him to start the Quest.
  • He will then ask you to find Szugogroth to get the location of Bulag Idolus. He can be found in the Outlaws Refuge of the respected location that you're in. (Daggerfall City Outlaws Refuge, Davon's Watch Outlaws Refuge, or Vulkhel Guard Outlaws Refuge)
  • Once in the area just follow the quest marker and you'll find him easily. Talk to him and after some dialogues you can either buy his loyalty, put in good words with the Thieves Guild (assuming that you're with the Thieves Guild) or remain silent.
  • After checking Szugogroth's Bag, you will find out that Bulag Idolus is hiding in Rivenspire or Shadowfen (Chid-Moska Ruins South-west of Stormhold) or Greenshade (Naril Nagaia west of Marbruk) (Depending on your alliance respectively)
  • Head to the ruins (you can clear it if you still haven't) confront Bulag Idolus. You can now choose to either kill and take the deed from her corpse or choose to let her live and she will give you the deed and the key. 
  • Return back to Canthion in the Bank and he will ask you to buy or craft a furniture for your new home. After buying or crafting a furniture head to ?? or The Ebony Flask Inn in Ebonheart or Mara's Kiss Public House in Vulkhel Guard and Canthion will be waiting for you to give you your new home.

 

 

Notes

  • The Ebony Flask Inn Room is a small square room
  • Mara's Kiss Public House is a small rectangular room
  • If you chose to buy the furniture you can head to ?? or Maladdiq a Home Goods Furnisher in Skywatch or a Home Goods Furnisher in Ebonheart
