Dwarven Ore is a material used for Blacksmithing in The Elder Scrolls Online. Like all ores, it must be found in the field, or obtained from Hirelings, Writs rewards, or deconstruction of heavy armor or metal weapons. Dwarven Ore can be found in reward boxes from Blacksmithing writs. Those writs may also contain survey maps, where you can find rich nodes for the material.

I was under the impression that dwemeri metals were a result of the races mastery over tonal architecture. The material itself resists the effects of time, as a result of the dwemer's manipulation of the tonal forces that make up the aurbis. They essentially changed the nature of the metal they used via their sciences and advanced magic. Or at least that's what I thought. But in ESO apparently it's an ore that can be dug up. Which makes no sense, as the other installments of the Elder Scrolls have made a point of illustrating the rarity of the metal. Any in game lore that I may have missed to explain the existence of "dwarven ore" in the Elder Scrolls universe?
