Dark Brotherhood | Elder Scrolls Online Wiki


Dark Brotherhood is one of the 4 major guilds in the Elder Scrolls Online. It is an infamous organization of highly trained assassins who carry out assassination contracts. They revere Sithis, the avatar of entropy and chaos, as well as the Night Mother, who is their spiritual leader. This mysterious organization is feared all over Tamriel. The Dark Brotherhood is also known to cooperate with the Thieves Guild for certain jobs. Any man or woman may join the Dark Brotherhood. Initiates must display the ability to kill mercilessly, without regret or sorrow. As a result, their ranks include vampires, werewolves, bandits, and mages. Jobs done for them often require stealth, to kill an enemy without being detected. If you would like to become a a hired assassin and carry out murder-for-hire contracts this guild is for you.

How to Join the Dark Brotherhood Guild

You don't find the Dark Brotherhood, they find you.. Their activities are performed out from the Gold Coast. You can go to any Outlaw's refuge to meet Amelie Crowe, or simply open your in-game collections Tab. You will be told to visit Anvil.

How to Rank up in the Dark Brotherhood's Guild

  • You must complete quests, sacraments and litany assassinations.
  • Each contract grants 5 to 10 Reputation

The Litany of Blood

Complete the first quests for the Dark Brotherhood and speak to Nevusa in the left side of the Sanctuary, where she will show you to a special assignment given by the Listener to those deemed worthy. These assignments are to to assassinate a number of people throughout all factions.
After killing a person, the pedestal shows their image.
Assassinating all targets completes Litany of Blood achievement, also unlocking the Cadaverous Assassin Polymorph and Executioner title.

Sacraments

Daily repeatable quests given by Speaker Terenus

Each sacrament has the same basic objectives:

  • Objective: Kill the target
  • Optional Step: First optional objective
  • Optional Step: Second optional objective
  • Optional Step: Don't Alert the Sewer Tenement
  • Optional Step: Leave Before the Overseer Arrives
  • Objective Hint: Talk to Speaker Terenus to Travel to Sewer Tenement
  • Objective Hint: Alert Status: 0/5
  • Objective: Return to Speaker Terenus

  • Unidentified Sithis' Touch Equipment or
  • Unidentified Sithis' Touch Equipment  (for completing all challenges)

Daily repeatable quests. To unlock them, you must first complete "Contract: Kvatch". After you have successfully completed it, daily quests will appear taking you to all zones to perform assassinations for the brotherhood.
